High temperature filter device SAMUM
Description:
Bench scale device enabling the investigation of cylindrical filter elements at high temperature and pressure conditions. The open loop device is electrically heated and is designed for vertically arranged filter elements. The multiple arrangement (3 elements) enables the close to reality operation of a hot gas filter with cyclic filtration/recleaning procedures of the single filter elements. By the application of model dust systems intricate properties of the particles (i.e. fines, stickiness) are realized. The variation of the dust concentrations adapts to very different dust loads and process conditions. The maximum filtration temperature of 1300 °C enables investigations with softening and (partially) liquified particulates. With respect to high temperature-high pressure conditions basically the proprietary Coupled Pressure Pulse recleaning technology is applied, which is specifically designed to such challenging process conditions. At the SAMUM device combined sorption-filtration processes as well as filtration-catalysis processes can also be investigated.
