Introduction
Welcome to the official website of the International Symposium on Feedstock Recycling of Polymeric Materials (ISFR 2026).
It is our great pleasure to invite you to join us in Karlsruhe, Germany, on Sunday, September 6th - Wednesday, September 9th 2026, for what promises to be a stimulating forum for discussion and collaboration in the field of circular carbon economy and sustainable waste management.
ISFR provides a premier international platform for academia and industry to exchange the latest scientific and technological developments in feedstock recycling. The symposium focuses on the valorization of polymeric waste—including waste plastics and waste from electrical & electronical equipment —and their transformation into valuable chemicals and feedstocks via thermochemical and chemical-catalytic routes. High-quality papers selected from the symposium will be invited for submission to a special issue of the Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management.
ISFR 2026 continues a successful series of symposia that began in 1999 in Sendai, Japan, and has since become a key event for the international recycling community. We are delighted to welcome the symposium back to Karlsruhe, which also had the honor of hosting the 3rd ISFR in 2005. The previous symposium brought together a global audience of researchers and practitioners.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to ISFR 2026 for a stimulating and fruitful symposium.
