Abstract Submission

Objectives and Topics

The symposium focuses on advanced recycling  strategies of polymers and complex waste streams to create circular solutions.

  • Thermochemical conversion of polymers and mixed plastic waste
  • Integration of mechanical and chemical recycling
  • Circular solutions for complex waste streams: e.g. WEEE andcomposite materials
  • Process evaluation: Life cycle assessment, techno-economic analysis
  • Depolymerization with solvolysis based technologies
  • Waste feedstock pre-treatment and product upgrading
  • Process efficiency & utilization of by-products: carbon material recovery  valorization of solids  process electrification  etc.
  • Catalyst design and application for chemical recycling
  • Fate and management of contaminants in recycling processes: halogen carriers  heavy metals  persistent organic pollutants  etc.
  • Process modeling and simulation
  • Process scale-up and industrial demonstration
