Furnace lab

Description
Our furnace lab makes use of a range of different furnaces and kilns – as an example the lab rotary kiln is shown above.

The main purpose is the synthesis of hydraulic binders, i.e. cement, from raw meal. Especially, the formation of belite at low temperatures (up to 1000°C) and in controlled gas atmospheres is under investigation. All the furnaces can be attached to a gas analyser for reaction control.
